The install package contains the following files: The rich text editor in ecto3 is using WebKit exclusively, so I'm very happy with the new release.... The list editing is much improved, but I'm still using my code for it, since I feel it does a few things better.
The interface has been cleaned up, but does not look markably different from ecto2, but if you peek under the hood, it's a whole new world.... I will be using ecto3 heavily, hoping to catch obvious bugs and missing features, before I feel it's ready for private or even public testing.
ecto 2.1 is now available for download here. The major features added to this update are Amazon search and additional settings for Upload Preset. This version also includes a number of important bug fixes, including a fix for the...
I have started keeping a regular log of my work on ecto3. It's on my personal blog.
It has been just over a month ago that beta build of version 2.0 was released for public testing. During this period, I received lots of help in identifying bugs/issues, as well as receiving a lot of good suggestions....

What's new, there's yet some new stuff in ecto.
Version 1.7 is now available for download as a free upgrade from previous version (see link in the sidebar on the right). New features included: Office 2003 theme - One of the main objective of version 1.5 is to make...
If you wonder why this is even necessary since you only need to set contentEditable=“true” to allow editing in WebKit views, the reason is that making changes to the actual HTML elements is not that straightforward.... To see what happens, try to edit the list below (just click in it and start typing or paste in some text, i.e. press return after a list item): item1 item2 That's not the only thing, what if you want to resize an image (including inserting resizing handles)?
Cool new stuff in the next ecto!
As I wrote in an earlier entry, one of the things I'm planning is to do away with drawers. Apple already made that move in Tiger (see, for example, Mail.app) and I think it would be a good idea...
ecto 2 is ready!
This way, most users won't have to bother downloading versions that are only minor changes, while the more hardcore users can have as many updates as they want.
