New blog system on the block

Don Goodman writes:

Bacon is a lightweight blog system written in Python. It's emphasis is on simplicity: data is stored as text files. Much of the brains of the system lies in the templating system: Python code can be embedded into the templates to dynamically alter the content at render-time. This allows for some neat tricks, like conditional rendering. I've been using it to run my site, http://artificial-science.org, since January of this year.

Don contacted me a while ago about getting XMLRPC support in his new blog system, Bacon. We emailed back and forth a few times and now Don released version 1.1, which has official metaWeblog support now for smooth collaboration with ecto. If you're into Python and you love the smell of Unix, you should check out Bacon.
